Why did you choose the color in the color scheme?
It’s interesting with colors. We have what seems like an emotional attachment to them. When I look at these colors I think of richness in beauty and aesthetic. The adjectives that come to mind are rich, beauty, full, mystery.
Do you have a least favorite color?
As I was looking through colors, I felt like I liked all of the colors in the right context. Color in reality is juxtaposed with other things. I found a place for all of the colors, but when I isolated colors individually orange seemed to cause me anxiety. Like a free radical, it’s a hydrogen atom and it needs to bond with something otherwise it’s volatile. (Orange reminds me of Justice League, the last scene where the sky was a big gross orangey mess…I didn’t like it)
How might color enhance the design process?
Color definitely is provocative, meaning that it provokes an emotion or particular affinity or disgust. That taken into account when desinging is so important to help you realize the intent.
